The top 5 are rounded out by Renault and Suzuki.
It is also worth mentioning that Audi, with 10th place, is the best-placed premium brand on the Croatian market. Believe it or not, Croatians bought 2,163 new Audis in the first nine months. For example, that is the amount of new cars that were placed on the market of Zadar County, with a population of around 160,000, in the same period.
We won’t say anything new when we say that the best-selling new model in Croatia this year is the Škoda Octavia with 3,223 units sold and a share of 5.7 percent. The second is the Opel Corsa with 2,771 units sold, and the third is the Volkswagen T-Cross. The top 5 also includes the Renault Clio and the Opel Mokka.
Situation in September
In September, the best-selling brands were Škoda in first place and Volkswagen in second place with 604 and 574 cars sold, respectively. Toyota reached a high third place with 393 units sold, and Opel with 390 and Hyundai with 284 vehicles sold also enter the top 5.
Of the Chinese offer that has flooded the Croatian market in recent months, Geely sold the most new vehicles in the ninth month of this year, 105 of them. MG is also doing well with 83 units sold, while Forthing and BYD sold 49 vehicles each.
Looking at the premium offering, it can be said that Audi and BMW continue with their steady sales pace of almost 200 units per month, while Mercedes is increasingly lagging behind. In September, only 65 units were sold. Interestingly, September was the second best month for Porsche with as many as 34 units sold, and a record 75 Teslas were also sold. One Aston Martin and one Bentley were also sold.
The Škoda Octavia remains the best-selling model in September. This model was chosen by 265 customers, while the VW T-Cross was purchased by 204 of our fellow citizens. The Opel Mokka is third with 193 units sold.
One Chinese model entered the top 20 best-selling models. MG ZS shares 19th place with Kia Sportage and 67 units sold.
