Vittori Turbio: A hypercar with a V12 engine and AI design worth $2.5 million

ARTIFICIAL intelligence created the design, and “we” created the 1100 hp V12. This is Vittori Turbio.

This hyper sports car with a V12 engine was designed with the help of artificial intelligence and you’ll agree, it looks really good.

American company, European presence

The American startup Vittori has presented its first hypercar, which has a hybrid V12 engine with as much as 1,100 horsepower under a suit assembled with the help of AI technology and the experience of Pininfarina. It is the Turbio model, which not only looks impressive, but also proves that artificial intelligence in car design is not necessarily bad news.

In recent years, artificial intelligence has become a central topic in almost every industry, but its application in the automotive industry is still limited. Some brands, such as Alpine, have already experimented with using AI to speed up the design process, but so far no car has been completely “designed” by artificial intelligence.

When news broke of startup Vittori, which is touting the use of AI technology in the design of its hypercar, many were skeptical. The initial sketches looked promising, but it’s hard to believe that a program could surpass the creativity and feel brought to it by experienced designers.

Vittori unveiled its new Turbio model in Miami, and the reactions have been surprisingly positive. While the company now rarely mentions the term “AI” in official materials, a spokesperson confirmed that “some level of AI assistance has been used in the design of the vehicle.”

In a statement to Motor1, Vittori explained:

“The goal of designing, creating and manufacturing this car, using state-of-the-art technology, was to create a car that celebrates the beauty, movement, sound and energy of classic historic cars. Our goal is to create something that will stand the test of time.”

The car was developed in collaboration with the legendary Pininfarina. The final result is visually reminiscent of the McLaren GT, especially from the front and in the side silhouette. The hexagonal radiator grille with large air intakes below the very narrow headlights still looks unique enough.

The rear of the car is much more dramatic. Sharp angles of the lights frame four exhaust pipes located in the middle of the bumper. A huge diffuser with accented bronze details extends to the taillights.

The interior is also reminiscent of a McLaren, with a vertically positioned central display, two air vents above it and a clear partition between the driver and passenger. In front of the driver is a digital instrument cluster.

Hybrid V12 with 1100 hp

Vittori states that his hypercar uses a drive system developed by Italian engineering studio Italtecnica, known for developing extreme engines. In this case, it’s a 6.8-liter V12 hybrid with a single electric motor on the front axle.

Total power is 1,100 horsepower, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes only 2.5 seconds. Although the maximum speed is not yet known, Vittori says that it will be “worthy of a hypercar”.

Price and production

The first Turbio prototype is already fully functional, which means it is closer to production than many other startup projects. Production should start next year in Italy, and only 50 copies are planned worldwide.

Price? $2.5 million for the American market.
